Materials to support Stained Glass Painting Workshop with Luis Gianera
These are the glass paints, additives, mediums, and paint brushes that you’ll need while participating in the workshop with the talented Luis Gianera.
Even if you’re not participating in that workshop, it’s still a versatile and complete set for creating glass painting art!

Glass paints, enamels, and binder
Brun foncé, 50 g. (1.8 oz) – a rich, earthly brown for natural shading and tones
Brun clair #2, 50 g. (1.8 oz) – a warm brown perfect for creating effects
Noir (Black), 50 g. (1.8 oz) – essential for outlining and fine details
Blue #1, 50 g. (1.8 oz) – a vibrant blue for adding bold accents
Green #2, 50 g. (1.8 oz) – a fresh, bright green for lifelike highlights
Sanguine, 50 g. (1.8 oz) – a rich red for warm, dramatic effects
11994 Magenta, 5 g. (0.18 oz) – a bright magenta for vibrant, artistic touches
Gum Arabic powder, 20 g. (0.7 oz) – a binder for smooth paint application

The paints above are Debitus paints (made in France). For best results, grind paint well with a muller (included below) when mixing. Allow paint to soak several days before using. Keep the paint moist.

Mediums
Water-based medium, 100 ml. – slow drying medium ideal for blending
Glycol, 100 ml. – another slow-drying medium that helps control paint consistency
Lavender oil, 100 ml. – a thin aromatic oil for detailed work with a smooth finish
Clove oil, 10 ml. – helps slow the drying process, perfect for extended blending

Paint brushes
DV5076-30 Matting brush (synthetic hair) – for applying water matt evenly
Professional 2″ Badger brush – excellent for creating smooth grisailles (shaded areas)
DV1200-2 Red sable contour brush – great for fine lines and detailed contouring
Small Hake brush (goat hair) – soft and ideal for even oil-based applications
DV5076-20 Matting brush (synthetic hair) – designed for oil application, gives smooth coverage
Round Badger brush, size 4 – perfect for blending oil-based paints in small areas
Flat Hog hair brushes (sizes 2, 4, 12) – durable stipplers for texture creation, can be trimmed for precision
Round Hog hair brushes (sizes 4, 14, 20) – robust stipplers for larger areas and texturing

Painting bridge, 40 cm – provides stability while working on delicate details
