Product details
Description
These colors can be used on both glass or porcelain (ceramics). They have a weak acid / alkali resistance and are therefore not suitable for the decoration of dinnerware. If the paints are applied too thickly, they may crack. Maximum layer thickness = 0.015 mm.
The colors are generally mixable with each other. However, do not mix the precious metal containing colors (product codes that begin with “P”) with the remaining colors, except for blue and white.
These paints can be applied by brush, airbrush, screen printing and may be mixed with oils. On glass, the fired colors will appear matt to silky matt.
How best to fire red / purple / orange paints? Simple, with sufficient oxygen.
Make sure that the oven is slightly open while heating up. Paints that need and don’t receive enough oxygen will not develop their color fully, possibly resulting in muddy off-tones. And once the color is muddy, it is difficult to paint over it and make it the color you want.
